Shenmu began with a simple belief: the objects we keep close can gently shape the way we move through each day.

Inspired by herbs, bodhi, crystal, and the quiet traditions of Eastern material culture, we create tactile pieces that invite a slower rhythm—something to wear, hold, and return to in moments of reflection.

We do not believe an object needs to promise transformation to hold meaning. Sometimes, it is enough for it to remind us to breathe, to notice, and to come back to the present.

The Materials of Shenmu

Three natural material traditions, each with its own texture, character, and place in daily ritual.

    Shaped from finely ground herbs and natural ingredients, our herbal beads carry subtle variations in color, texture, and scent. Warm to the touch and quiet in character, they reflect the living nature of the materials from which they are made.

    Bodhi beads are valued for their natural grain, tactile presence, and the way they deepen through touch and time. Each piece is designed to be worn, held, and slowly made personal through everyday use.

  • CRYSTAL

    Selected for their natural color, clarity, and distinctive formations, crystals bring light and contrast to Shenmu pieces. No two stones are identical, and each carries visible traces of the earth that shaped it.

  • Hand Assembly

    Each piece is assembled by hand, with attention to spacing, proportion, color, and the tactile rhythm of the design.

    Before it leaves the studio, every piece is checked, refined, and prepared in mindful packaging made for gifting and keeping.
